INEC Issues Notice of Verification for Dino Melaye's Recall in Kogi [PHOTO]

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has issued a notice of verification for the recall of Dino Melaye from the Nigeria senate.
Melaye had dragged INEC to court over the issue, stating that the recall was initiated by a fraudulent process perpetrated by Kogi state's governor Yahaya Bello. The court ordered that the "status quo" be maintained, which Melaye interpreted to mean victory for him.
INEC however, isn't bulging.
Today, the commission issued a notice of verification for the senator's recall.
In the notice posted at the commission’s office in Lokoja, capital of Kogi state, INEC said the verification would hold across all polling units in the senatorial district, on August 19.
